Always
keep your kite under control. Check to make sure that
your kite and lines are in good condition, that the kite is
properly assembled, and that the lines are securely attached
to the kite and handles.
|
| |
Permitted
line lengths vary in different areas. If in doubt, contact
local authorities before flying. |
|
Never
fly a kite in winds over the maximum recommended wind speed
for that kite. Doing so will endanger bystanders and could
damage the kite. |
|
Never
fly a kite on a busy beach or field. The kite could fall
on a bystander and cause injury. |
|
Fly
with bystanders behind you. This will help prevent injury
and provide the maximum safety to bystanders. |
|
Keep
your distance from other kite pilots. Lines can become entangled
and cut, not only causing damage to the kites, but also endangering
the pilots and bystanders. |
|
Do
not fly in areas that will be a nuisance to others. Respect
the rights of those around you. |
|
Never
fly in dangerous weather conditions or near high voltage lines.
This could cause electrocution. |
|
Never
fly a kite near airfields or busy streets. Serious accidents
could occur. |
|
Never
fly a kite in national preserved areas. Respect wildlife. |
